Ta Azadi was established during a period of instability in Rojhelat Kurdistan, where political tension and infrastructure disruptions have affected civilian life. In such conditions, access to verified and responsibly presented information is essential.

The platform was founded by Delzar Abedi, who was among the leaders of the Jina Amini protest movement in 2022. His civic engagement has shaped Ta Azadi’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible reporting.
