Multiple Military Sites Hit Across East Kurdistan as Strikes Target Security Infrastructure

A series of coordinated strikes attributed to the United States and Israel have targeted military and security facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other security forces across several cities in western Iran, according to local sources and materials received by Ta Azadi.

The attacks, which began earlier this week, have reportedly struck multiple locations in Iranian Kurdistan and neighboring provinces, including Oshnavieh, Sanandaj, Saqqez, Baneh, Mahabad, Sardasht, Urmia, and Marivan, as well as areas in Ilam Province.

Oshnavieh: IRGC Bases Reportedly Struck

Local sources report that two IRGC facilities in Oshnavieh were targeted in separate attacks.

According to information received by Ta Azadi, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, missiles struck an IRGC base near Gilas Square in the city. Earlier, on Tuesday around 13:00, another strike reportedly destroyed the main IRGC command headquarters located in the Farhangian residential district.

In a separate incident shortly after midnight (00:13 local time on March 4), witnesses reported that the IRGC garrison on the ring road in Oshnavieh was hit, causing a city-wide power outage.

Sanandaj: Security Facilities Targeted

In Sanandaj, reports indicate that three missiles struck the main Law Enforcement Command complex and a NAJA base near 12 Farvardin Square late Tuesday night at approximately 22:01 local time.

The complex reportedly includes a detention facility used by special police units.

Later, at 02:24 Wednesday morning, another military facility in the Qeshlaq neighborhood was reportedly struck.

Saqqez: Explosion at IRGC Garrison

Local reports from Saqqez indicate that a large explosion occurred around 01:00 local time on March 3 at the IRGC Hanzala garrison, located across from Shafa Hospital.

Witnesses reported that the blast shook large parts of the city. No official confirmation regarding casualties or the scale of damage has been released.

Baneh: Repeated Explosions Reported

According to field reports cited by Avatoday, multiple explosions were heard in Baneh beginning around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Sources say the IRGC base in the city was struck several times, and the army garrison, previously targeted during earlier phases of the attacks, was reportedly hit again.

Witnesses reported nearly ten explosions occurring at intervals of roughly 10 to 15 minutes, with one strike allegedly hitting an arms depot, sending thick smoke across the city skyline.

Ambulances were reportedly seen near the site, and witnesses say some military personnel left the area after the strikes, while conscripts were warned they could face punishment if they attempted to leave.

Marivan: Security Headquarters Destroyed

Local sources report that the Law Enforcement Command headquarters in Marivan was destroyed during strikes earlier this week.

By early Wednesday morning, IRGC vehicles were reportedly moving through city streets, broadcasting evacuation warnings through loudspeakers and firing shots into the air.

Some reports claim most major security installations in Marivan have been disabled, though these claims remain unverified.

Mahabad and Sardasht: Military Positions Targeted

In Mahabad, local reports indicate that the Darlak military base and Police Station No. 13 were struck during the attacks.

In Sardasht, residents reported multiple explosions and visible smoke columns across parts of the city. The exact targets and damage levels remain unclear.

Urmia and Naqadeh: Explosions Reported

Reports from Urmia indicate that police stations, IRGC intelligence offices, and Basij bases may have been targeted during strikes on March 4, according to eyewitness videos circulating online.

In Naqadeh, local sources reported an explosion at an IRGC command facility late Tuesday night.

Additional Strikes Reported

Other reports indicate that IRGC and intelligence facilities in Paveh and Javanrud were also targeted earlier in the week.

Images released online appear to show damage near the Ansar Rasul Brigade base and an intelligence ministry site in Javanrud.
